Favorite part of Heartside: Seeing friendly neighbors.
Vision: I'd like to see a greater sense of community between everyone involved in Heartside (neighbors, artists, business owners, employees, and visitors)--where differences bring together rather than create divides.
Special skills/goals: community oriented, a lover of g-rad, sewing, cooking, bicycling. I'd like to go back to school to get my master's degree in non-profit and public administration

Rick Frederick, Board Treasurer
- Connection to Heartside: Moved to Heartside in May of 1997, has been treasurer of HDNA since 1999. Chairperson of CleanSweep 2000.
- Favorite part of Heartside: Working together with people from his community.
- Vision: Getting more public relations for both HDNA and Hard Times Cafe.

Favorite part of Heartside: Learning about arts, writting group
Goals/Vision: To see more people involved in the neighborhood, like the 100 block neighbors.

Connection to Heartside: Member since '85, involved in art and writers circle.
Personal Statement: I'm important to Heartside and the know it and I've learned to beliece that so it gives me a insight on myself to being meaning for something and may be Christ. I love maintaining work habits. For instance on Sundat making sure all the books are put or laid out.

Personal Statement: I was in a fundraising performance. I am a servant leader. Heartside artists and a HardTimesCafe elder.

Favorite part of Heartside: I enjoy the close knit community. I've made lots of friends.
Vision: I envision more security for residents.
Goal: Becoming more involved in community affairs.

Connection to Heartside: I've been in Heartside for about 1 year.
Favorite part of Heartside: I love the Heartside area because of the people and because of the extensive help i can receive here. I also like the fact that they consider us as a community and neighbors no poor people and/or homeless people. That makes me feel that I am a citizen and not a "bum".
Vision: There are a couple of things that I feel would make Heartside a better place-- better affordable shopping closer to Heartside area and stronger security.
Goals/Special skills: Continue working with members and organizations in the Heartside community. To bring some of my political skills to the community. Also to bring my writing and photography skills to help us out with promotions, grants, and programs, etc. I want to get back to school and go back into political science and writing. I consider myself outgoing, friendly, and a lover of people. My significant other and i fo numerous hours of volunteer work in the community because we love giving back what has been given to us. I want to always see Heartside improve.
